Trial delayed for Los Gatos contractor accused of recklessly starting 2008 Summit Fire

SUMMIT -- The trial for a Los Gatos contractor accused of starting the 2008 Summit Fire has been postponed to January.

Channing Parker Verden is charged with recklessly starting the fire by failing to extinguish large piles of logs that he and a crew burned while clearing a Summit Road property. He is not charged with starting the fire intentionally.
