Pay it forward! Send this email to a friend in need.

I know it has been quite a while since I've sent out a newsletter, but I've recently made some changes to our website that might help us keep better connected. You can now find CARe on Twitter and Facebook. You can now join us on the social media network of your choice!

We are also in the process of upgrading our email registration and transmittal system. Nothing is required from you on your part. You will automatically be entered into our new system. This will (hopefully) be the last email you will receive in this format.

Later this week we will be sending out an email confirming your registration into the system. After that you will receive one email a week that includes a list of new articles that have been posted on the website that week. If no articles have been posted that week, you will not receive an email.

Hopefully this covers everything. Let me know if you have any questions. Now, on to the newsletter!

SDG&E Update:

NO Guejito Fire Wildfire Lawsuits are being Settled or Mediated!

NO 2007 Guejito Fire cases, as designated by SDG&E, are being settled or mediated contrary to rumors disseminated to the San Diego Fire community. This update is to continue our practice to provide accurate information to protect homeowner interests. This CARE 2007 wildfire litigation update is generated, too, by inquiries from fire victims who are being told, wrongly, Guejito Fire cases are being mediated and will soon be settled.  (In response to complaints to CARe by the "San Diego Fire Victims Lawyers", this message is not intended to interfere with representation of any particular attorney.)

Disaster News:

Station Wildfire: Push for New Investigation
May 18, 2010

U.S. Forest Service retirees claim an internal investigation into last year’s deadly Angeles National Forest wildfire ignored critical errors.

The group wants a wider, independent probe into the handling of the blaze that burned about 250 square miles, killed two firefighters and destroyed 89 homes last summer.
