Approves SDG&E's Wildfire Power Shutoff
Plan SAN DIEGO
- The City Council approved a resolution Monday supporting San Diego Gas
& Electric's controversial plan to shut off power to parts of the
county during periods of high winds to prevent wildfires.

Hearings planned by the Department of Insurance
Insurance
Commissioner Steve Poizner announced today that the Department of
Insurance will hold hearings for Santa Barbara and Los Angeles residents
to discuss any concerns they have with the availability of private
homeowners insurance and the Fair
Plan. The
hearing for Sayre and Freeway Complex Fire survivors will be held on
August 19 at 1pm in Los Angeles. The hearing for Tea Fire survivors will
be held on August 25 at 7pm in Santa
