The website www.contractorsfromhell.com have some tips for people thinking of building a house as “Owner/Builder”

You should know that we know of at least one instance where the “Workers Comp Police” [for lack of a better term] followed supplies from a store to a property and fined the homeowner tens of thousands of dollars in fines. This is a new development that the author did not know about when writing the article.

Charges against SDG&E in wildfires less likely

ESCONDIDO ---- There's no decision yet, but it seems unlikely that San Diego Gas & Electric Co. will face criminal charges for its alleged role in starting the massive 2007 wildfires that ripped through North County.

Fewer Than 10% Of Homes Destroyed In 2007 Fire Rebuilt
October 21, 2008

SAN DIEGO -- Tuesday, Oct. 21, is the one year anniversary of the 2007 wildfires and fewer than 10 percent of the 1,646 homes destroyed in San Diego County last October have been rebuilt, according to a newspaper.
