Community Assisting Recovery, Inc., CARe, offers its sincere condolences to the families of victims of the Waldo Canyon, Colorado fire. The deaths, injuries and destruction are heartbreaking to the neighborhood and community.

While grief and pain may be long and, at times, feel unbearable, the disaster recovery process will, by necessity, also need to occur.

CARe’s volunteer staff, since the 1991 Oakland Firestorm, has facilitated the fire recovery of thousands of disaster victims through instruction in the recovery of process. CARe’s staff has all successfully recovered from their own natural disaster and knows, firsthand, the steps necessary to move through the tedious insurance and construction process.
